Cleanups
We organize large-scale, community-led cleanups across more than 250 sites, removing trash, runoff, and hidden pollutants from rivers, lakes, and streams.

Education
We create workshops, programs, and free toolkits to educate more than 10,000 community members about the connection between clean water and human health.

Cleanups
We label storm drains (over 80% of drains in the county) to prevent dumping of toxic waste into our waterways. We also distribute hundreds of water filters to families most at risk.

Water Health is Public Health
Unsafe water harms more than ecosystems. It causes cancer, chronic illnesses and impacts vulnerable families first. Our mission is to restore waterways and protect human health for all residents.
Rooted in Our Community
The team at Pure Water for People works block by block to protect every neighborhood in our area!

What Are Our Neighbors Saying?

Kevin X.
Local Resident and Parent
“Before Pure Water for People started their programs, I honestly had no idea how much our storm drains impacted the rivers where my kids play. Now, when I see their decals, it feels good to know we’re protecting our health and our community.”

Jim M.
Local Resident and Parent
“Our tap water always had sort of a strange taste, and I worried about what my kids were drinking. I’m glad we received a water filter from Pure Water for People. Now I feel confident cooking and filling our water bottle. We know it’s safe!”
